Building Scope:
Loft conversion 5 stories plus basement - 65 units.

Services Provided:
Complete Plumbing design and engineering for building systems, assisted owner with fixture selections and worked with owner to help meet budget, and coordinated with general contractor and major subcontractors prior to construction.

Challenges:
Project was awarded in October 2004 and construction did not begin until March 2006. During this time there were several code changes and MSD requirements that changed which affected our original bid and design concept.

Comments:
We were the last major sub to start on site. Therefore we were behind schedule form the outset. We were able to prefabricate all of our sanitary stacks and partition copper for this project and installed our piping for the units before the studs were installed. This allowed us to not only catch up to the schedule but exceed the schedule and get ahead of all the other trades.
